Wesley C. Prout, President
Background
Wesley grew up in the family business, spending Saturdays at Prout Boiler with his father and grandfather. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 1991 and began working full time shortly after. He has never worked anywhere else and now leads the company as its third-generation president.
What He Enjoys Most
Wesley takes pride in watching employees excel on projects. He is continually impressed by their skill, dedication and pride in their trade. Their work inspires him to become a better leader.
Advice to the Next Generation
Show up every day and work hard. You do not have to be the smartest person in the room, but you do have to be dependable. Pay attention to leaders around you. You can learn a lot, including what to do and what not to do.
Outside of Work
Wesley enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, traveling anywhere at any time and cheering on Ohio State football. O-H.
Donald C. Raybuck, Vice President
Background
Donald joined Prout Boiler in 1989 while attending Youngstown State University. He began working in the shop, later moved into purchasing and office operations and eventually became a corporate officer. He now serves as Vice President.
What He Enjoys Most
Donald enjoys interacting with employees, customers and vendors. No two days are the same and he appreciates the challenges and relationships that come with each day.
Advice to the Next Generation
Work hard. Learn everything you can. Do not be afraid to ask questions. Treat everyone with respect.
Outside of Work
He values time spent with his family.
Spencer Olesh, Corporate Secretary / Preconstruction and BIM
Background
Spencer began at Prout Boiler as an intern in 2016 during college breaks. He joined full time after graduating in 2017 and has worked in estimating, fabrication drawings, project management and BIM modeling.
What He Enjoys Most
He enjoys being challenged by new projects and applying past experience to make each job better than the last. He appreciates the fast pace of the construction industry and the problem solving required in every project.
Advice to the Next Generation
Approach each day as a learning opportunity. Never become complacent. Always look for new tools and better ways to do the job.
Outside of Work
Spencer enjoys coaching baseball, playing golf, attending sporting events and spending time with family and friends.
Jason Humphrey,
HVAC Superintendent
Background
Jason joined Prout Boiler as an apprentice in 2010. He became a journeyman in 2015, moved into a foreman role in 2016 and has served as HVAC Superintendent since 2019.
What He Enjoys Most
He enjoys seeing a project from start to finish, estimating, ordering equipment, coordinating trades and seeing a completed system come together.
Advice to the Next Generation
Stay organized and take notes. Keep records of what you learn from each project because it will help you later. Be open to learning and never hesitate to ask questions.
Outside of Work
Jason spends most of his time with his wife and two children. They enjoy sporting events, bike rides, fishing and playing football or baseball together.
Sam Sargent,
Plumbing Superintendent
Background
Sam began his apprenticeship in 1997 and has worked across many industries including oil refineries, automotive plants, prisons, hospitals, schools and industrial facilities.
What He Enjoys Most
He enjoys solving problems. Whether helping a customer find the right solution or working through details with a co-worker on a jobsite, he values the challenge and variety of the work.
Advice to the Next Generation
Develop a passion for serving others. Skill can be taught, but your purpose and work ethic are up to you. If you see your job as a way to help others, your co-workers, customers or company, it will never feel like just a job.
Outside of Work
Sam enjoys landscaping in spring, surf fishing in Florida during summer vacations, Ohio State football in the fall and playing guitar during winter.
Janet Motsko,
Accounting and Payroll
Background
Janet started working in manufacturing after high school, learning accounting, payroll, receiving and payables through hands-on experience. She has more than 37 years of accounting experience and is a two time cancer survivor.
What She Enjoys Most
Janet enjoys working with a respectful and hardworking team. She feels valued, relaxed and supported at Prout Boiler.
Advice to the Next Generation
Get a strong foundation in accounting and communication. Come to work with a good attitude, help others and show up every day. A strong work ethic makes all the difference.

She enjoys decorating, home projects and crafting with friends and family.
Shari Pugh,
Service Dispatcher and Data Entry
Background
Shari worked in payroll and accounting at Prout Boiler from 1990 to 2008. She returned in 2019 in service dispatching and data entry.
What She Enjoys Most
She values the family atmosphere and long-term relationships she has built over the years. She enjoys helping customers get the service they need and especially enjoys invoicing.

Choose work you enjoy. Learn as much as you can. Knowledge is power. Be kind to everyone and treat all with respect.
Outside of Work
Shari enjoys spending time with her family and grandpup Levi, going to concerts, home decor and shopping for clothes and shoes.
